Behavior & Husbandry
Bicolor Foxfaces are active swimmers that spend much of their day grazing algae from rockwork and glass. They are generally peaceful and coexist well with most reef-safe fish, making them excellent additions to community reef systems.
When stressed or resting, they may temporarily display darker camouflage coloration, which is completely normal behavior.
Like all rabbitfish, they possess venomous dorsal spines, so care should be taken during handling or aquarium maintenance.
Providing ample swimming space, stable water conditions, and mature rockwork will help them thrive long term.
