Behavior & Husbandry
Goldline Rabbitfish are active swimmers that spend much of their day grazing algae from rockwork and glass. Biota captive-bred specimens are already well adapted to aquarium life and typically transition very easily into established reef systems.
They are generally peaceful and do well in community reef tanks with other non-aggressive species. When stressed or resting, they may display darker camouflage coloration, which is completely normal behavior.
Like all rabbitfish, they possess venomous dorsal spines, so care should be taken during handling or maintenance.
