Behavior & Husbandry
High Fin Gobies spend much of their time near the entrance of their burrow, often pairing naturally with pistol shrimp in a fascinating symbiotic relationship. The shrimp maintains the burrow while the goby acts as a lookout for danger.
They prefer aquariums with sand beds, stable rockwork, and peaceful tankmates. Due to their shy nature and small size, they do best in calm reef environments without aggressive or overly active fish.
A secure lid is recommended, as gobies may jump when startled.
