Behavior & Husbandry
Lemon Peel Mimic Tangs are active swimmers that require ample open swimming space along with rockwork for grazing and security. Juveniles often display bright yellow coloration resembling Lemonpeel Angelfish, while adults gradually develop darker coloration and more subdued patterning.
Like most tangs, they are constantly grazing throughout the aquarium and thrive in mature reef systems with stable water conditions and strong flow.
They are generally less aggressive than some tang species but may still become territorial toward other tangs or similarly shaped fish, especially in smaller aquariums.
Feeding & Diet
Primarily herbivorous with constant grazing behavior.
