Quick Facts
- Care Level: Moderate
- Temperament: Peaceful
- Reef Compatibility: Reef Safe with caution
- Minimum Tank Size: 70 gallons
- Size: Ranging from approximately 3–5 inches at adult size
Behavior & Husbandry
Radiant Wrasses are active foragers that spend much of their day searching through rockwork and sand in search of small crustaceans and other food sources. They are constantly on the move and add both color and activity to the aquarium.
Like many members of the Halichoeres family, Radiant Wrasses require a sand bed where they can bury themselves for sleeping, protection, and stress relief. A mature aquarium with stable water conditions and a healthy sand bed is highly recommended.
They are generally peaceful and integrate well into community reef aquariums.
A secure lid or screen top is essential, as wrasses are known jumpers.
