Behavior & Husbandry

Yellowline Gobies are typically found perched on rockwork or near coral heads, where they observe their surroundings and make short movements between resting points. They are calm and non-aggressive, making them ideal for peaceful reef environments.

Due to their small size, they can be easily intimidated by larger or more aggressive fish. Providing plenty of rock structure and low-competition environments will help them feel secure and display natural behavior.

Feeding & Diet

Carnivorous and best suited to smaller food items.

What We Feed at Lush Corals:

• Frozen mysis shrimp (finely chopped)
• Enriched brine shrimp
• Small pellet foods

In Your Aquarium:

• Small frozen foods
• Micro pellets
• Target feeding may be beneficial

Regular feeding ensures proper nutrition due to their small size and metabolism.

Compatibility Notes

Best suited for peaceful tanks with:

• Small gobies
• Clownfish
• Blennies
• Other reef-safe fish

Avoid aggressive tankmates or fast feeders that may outcompete them.
